Yoga
Classes
We offer different types of classes (use the drop-down menu to access current class schedules), depending on your level of fitness or mobility.
You may join a class already in session provided there is space available - please contact us to register.
We limit the class size to prevent over-crowding.
Please wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing to class (a track suit or sweatpants and a t-shirt are ideal) and do not eat for at least 1.5 hours
prior to class (if you must eat, have something that is easily digestible like fruit). Doors are locked just before classes start so that students
are not disturbed during deep relaxation and meditation, so be sure to arrive early (10-15 minutes) so that class starts on time.
See the FAQs for more information or contact us
by phone or email.
Classes offered (click on the quick links here to descriptions below): Hatha Yoga for Beginners, Yoga For Seniors, Yoga for Stress, and Corporate Stress Relief Programs.
Hatha Yoga for Beginners
This is our basic class for those who are reasonably healthy and may have done some yoga before. This is a gentle form of yoga, based on the Integral Yoga method, suitable for beginners.
We do a one-hour class consisting of asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), deep relaxation, and meditation.
If you have never done yoga before, give it a try! If you have let your yoga practice go by the wayside, and want to get back into it, this is the class for you. If you are already taking yoga classes elsewhere, consider trying a session with us.
Careful guided instruction is provided, but in a manner that supports the inward drawing of the mind to touch on those aspects of ourselves that we rarely encounter, but so deeply need to experience.
These classes are ongoing, so contact us if you want to start in between sessions and we will prorate the fees accordingly provided there is space available in the class.
Yoga For Seniors
We offer a special class for seniors using a chair instead of a yoga mat. Older students say
chair yoga increases their strength, flexibility and concentration. These are all attributes that
tend to decline as we age so a yoga program helps maintain what we have and even improve it!
You don't even have to be a senior to enjoy the benefits of this class - if you feel that
you are not fit enough to work on the floor on a mat, you are welcome to join this class. Everyone in this class,
regardless of their level of flexibility or fitness, will benefit.
We do a one-hour class consisting of asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), deep relaxation, and meditation.
We have a waiting list to form a seniors class, so contact us if you
would like to be notified of a new class.
Yoga for Stress
This is NOT an exercise program. This unique series will help you learn how to identify stressors in your life,
as well as teach you specific stress management techniques that are scientifically proven effective in helping to heal, cope with and prevent stress.
Learn simple techniques that can be used anywhere, whether at home, traveling, or in the office.
No special equipment or clothing is required
(we sit in chairs) and anyone can participate, regardless of age or fitness level. This program is especially
suitable for seniors and highly recommended for anyone who works in a stressful situation, such as police officers,
prison guards, nurses, doctors, unpaid caregivers, corporate workers, etc.
Learn how you can build a foundation of balance and stability that will enable you to
weather stress more effectively and help you to be better spouses, parents, employers and employees.
Many graduates of this program report that they are more creative, working in a more relaxed but highly focused and productive way.
Our facilitator, Susan Guise-Bagley, CGA, RYT, is a certified stress management trainer as well as a certified Integral Yoga teacher,
and has worked with a variety of people such as prison inmates, seniors, administrators, caregivers and social workers, as well as employees in many types of industries.

Corporate Stress Relief Programs
Starting in the fall, we will be presenting in-the-workplace or seminar-based programs geared at the busy professional or healthcare worker. With the restructuring of our economy, many people are
having to do more at work with less resources, while at the same time perhaps dealing with a loved one who has lost their job or had it severely scaled back.
Our own founder, Susan, worked in a very stressful managerial accounting position for a large Japanese auto company and knows just what it is like to be stressed out on a daily basis.
She is well positioned to be able to offer you solutions to dealing with your workplace colleagues and environment.
Through these programs, we will offer you information, ways to evaluate your stress, and teach real-life techniques so you learn how to cope on a daily basis with whatever changes may come your way.
Our graduates will be more resilient and able to deal with stress in a positive manner, able to be more creative and contribute to their employer.
